Potty Train with Baby Signs Feature & Giveaway

Did you know that since the introduction of disposable diapers in the early 1960s the average age for potty training keeps climbing higher and higher? Today, the average age at which American children complete potty training is 36 months for girls and 38 months for boys.  Imagine how many diapers are entering our landfills. And if you are cloth diapering, think about all of the water used in washing diapers for that long.

After a lot of research I have decided to start potty training my little one early.  It is actually easier to potty train a baby under 24 months because as children get older they also want to start making their own decisions and demonstrating their independence. That new stage is all about the battle of the wills when it comes to potty training, so earlier is the way to go for us.

I have been using The Baby Signs Potty Training Program kit and we love it. It is a fun way to get started and help my little one learn to communicate and give him the freedom of letting me know when he needs to go.

The kit comes with an instructional book, a small board book designed to show and teach the signs, a full-length DVD, a train whistle and a couple of sheets of "reward stickers".  My son loves the board book because he loves seeing the signs behind the train images.  He also loves the sound of the whistle and the "Get on Board the Potty Train" song.

I am very excited to say that he has been doing the potty sign before going potty in his diaper.  I have started sitting him on his potty and we are having to change less and less wet and soiled diapers every day.  I am thrilled!   This program has been working so far and he is only 10 1/2 months!

I recommend you to try the Potty Train with Baby Signs Program if you are hoping to have your little one potty trained before the age of 2. Remember you can help the environment and your wallet plus give your little one the opportunity to communicate and build trust with you.
