Rockin' Green is Rocking with us again {Giveaway}

My relationship with Rockin' Green Detergent started when I began cloth diapering my son.  I even wrote a review about it back then here.  It was my first cloth diaper detergent and I used it exclusively for many months. Then I tried a different detergent and ended up switching.

After connecting with New & Green Baby Co., a local family run online cloth diaper store I was given the chance to try the new Rockin' Green Remixed formula. I never had major issues with the old formula other than having to do a few soaks every once in a while so I was curious to try the new Remixed formula and see if I noticed any differences.

The first obvious difference was the packaging. The design is now different and  it has been redesigned to use less material and make it easier for consumers to recycle (big plus there). 

I have been using the new remixed formula for about 2 months and I have not needed any soaks yet. I remember having to do soaks every 2 1/2 or so weeks before to ensure proper cleaning of my diapers and to avoid built up.   I am thinking I may be able to do a soak every six months instead of every couple of weeks now. That sounds awesome to me!

The new formula is also supposed to have the lowest PH of any other cloth diaper detergent available on the market.  I couldn't really test that one myself but if it is supposed to be gentler on the fabrics and keep my diapers looking new then I am all for it.

So far I am loving the new formula and the "Smashing Watermelon" scent. It is certainly my favorite scent of all of the ones I have tried so far.  I was so happy when I opened the box and saw that was the scent I was testing. Thanks New & Green Baby Co. for picking it for me!

Rumparooz One Size Cloth Diaper Review & Giveaway

When our little one was a couple of days old and his legs were tiny I remember not being able to use any pocket diapers because they were all way too big for him.  Most people have that problem and they usually have to wait until their child is a bit older to use their pocket diapers. 

Well, thanks to Rumparooz you don't have to wait anymore and you can start your baby on cloth diapers right from the hospital. Their one size pocket diaper fits babies that are only 6lbs to 35+lbs.  I just love knowing that you can actually pack the diaper in your hospital bag and have it ready for when your little bundle arrives.

I am adding some photos I took of the leg sizes for both the newborn smallest setting and the biggest settings from the two diapers I recieved. You can see the BIG difference in sizing and how tiny the newborn setting actually is. Just seeing how tiny it is brings back memories!

Something I really loved about the Rumparooz diaper was the inner gussets. I have never seen a pocket diaper with leg gussets before and it just makes so much sense. It is particularly helpful when dealing with super messy diapers.

Each diaper comes with a double soaker with 6 size settings. It also can be adjusted if you have a boy or a girl. You move it a bit towards the back for a girl and then on the front for a boy.

The inner material of the diaper that comes in contact with your baby's skin is microchamois. I like how soft it feels. I just like the feel a lot better than fleece.

In general I had a great experience with these diapers and we are loving the leg gussets. I just wish I knew about them a lot earlier!
