We love Disney and Mickey Mouse at home so it was fun to watch the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Space Adventure movie. In the movie Mickey and his pals blast off on a rocketship into outer space on a fun adventure to look for treasure.
This movie is targeted for children in the 2-5 age group. I like that during the movie there are a lot of scenes that are interactive and allow the child to get involved and repeat words, count numbers, etc with Mickey and his friends. I also like that there are many times where the need for problem solving skills is required and that allows the child to further develop his skills.
I like that the DVD+Digital Copy pack comes with a never before seen episode and some adorable glow-in-the -dark stickers. Those are perfect for the older children! At home we own an Ipod and Iphone so being able to have the movie play in both devices (using the Digital Copy) is so helpful! I think it is great for traveling and when on the go.
The movie was fun and it keeps you interested in what's next. I recommend it as a fun adventure to watch with your little one. It is perfect for the children in the 2-5 age group and filled with opportunities to develop problem solving skills.
Synopsis:
It’s Adventure Day and Professor Von Drake is sending Mickey and pals into the far reaches of outer space. The team blasts off in their Clubhouse Rocket in search of Treasure Stars that will point the way to the Out-of-this-World Treasure, their ultimate goal. The interplanetary trip takes preschool viewers first to the Moon, Mars and the Rings of Saturn. Along the way, the gang gets help from friendly space aliens Moon Men Chip and Dale, Martian Mickey and Pluto from Pluto but they also encounter sneaky Space Pirate Pete, who wants the Treasure all for himself. Eventually the Clubhouse Rocket’s crew and Space Pirate Pete manage to become friends, and they all follow the trail of the Treasure Stars to the mysterious Planet Mickey where they discover the location of the Out-of-this-World Treasure. It turns out to be a futuristic, space age version of the Clubhouse — the perfect meeting place for all pals across the universe!
