Pediped: New Improved Slip Resistant Leather Sole for Pediped Originals

Photobucket

I have worked with pediped in the past and we absolutely love the brand.  Pediped shoes are perfect for children because they mimic barefoot walking and do not force children to change their natural stride, great for children learning to walk and new walkers.

Little Pim: Fun with Languages, Learning Japanese {Giveaway}

We really want our son to learn a few languages during his first years and we believe that with the right resources and tools we can help him develop those skills.  It is such a big advantage to be bilingual in our society and giving our child the opportunity to learn a few different languages is very important to us.

I like interactive learning and being involved in my son's daily activities, so when I found the Little Pim Language Immersion Method I knew I wanted to try it out.  I have always wanted to learn Japanese and I thought it would be a great idea to get the Japanese Gift Set to feature.

Timbuk2: Snoop Camera Messenger Bag

Photobucket

Hubby and I decided to get camera bags for each other for Christmas, we both were in need of a good camera bag for our DSLRs and after spending some extra money on a few new lenses we needed new bags to carry everything around.

We did a lot of research before decided to get the Timbuk2 Snoop Camera Messenger bags. I got the Extra Small and hubby got the Small size.  We ordered the Medium size bags initially but ended up exchanging them because they were larger than we expected.  Timbuk2's customer service was amazing dealing with the exchange and we even received the new bags before Christmas.

Switched At Birth on DVD December 13 {Review}

ABC Family's Switched At Birth is a heartwarming TV drama series about the experiences of  two teen girls after they discover that they were accidentally switched at birth.

From the moment I started watching the first episode of this series I was hooked.  The story is interesting and different and the characters are extremely relatable.

Vince Wallace: Learn and Master Photography {Giveaway} $249 value

I have always loved photography but since my son was born I have really gotten into it a lot more. I like being able to capture all of the special moments.  There are just so many special moments when raising a child, so many first times and so many beautiful daily changes.

Many times you have just one chance to capture that special moment and if  the photo turns out different than what you intended you can miss it. That is really the reason why I decided to learn more about photography and become better at it. To not miss a thing!

I received the Learn and Master Photography with Vince Wallace set and I am so grateful I  had the chance to try it out.   The set contains 15 DVDs, 2 Sample Photo CDs, Lesson Book, and unlimited access to their online Student Support Site.

I really like the way the lessons are divided and how easy it is to follow along. The explanations are wonderful and there are so many little tips and help for new photographers.   After each lesson you have some "homework" to do to review the lessons and I have been working on it every time.

I like the way Vince Wallace presents the information and he is very easy to understand.  I have enjoyed my lessons and I am working hard on becoming a better photographer. This is a course that I recommend 100% to friends and family and anybody interested in photography. From beginners to advanced students, there is tons of information for everybody!

I am still learning a lot and I haven't finished the course yet but here are some of my personal photos after learning some of the basic skills from the first lessons of the course:

Win it: One lucky reader from the US/CAN will receive a Learn and Master Photography with Vince Wallace set ($249 value). Click "Read more" below to see the Rafflecopter form and to enter.

Ozeri: Professional Digital Kitchen Scale {Giveaway x3}

scale

We love cooking and trying out new healthy recipes at our home. It is fun to pick recipes online and spend the time cooking something yummy.  A lot of those recipes call for specific weights for ingredients and to be honest most of the time we guesstimate.   It is important to follow the instructions and with the Ozeri Ultra Thin Professional Kitchen Scale we have been able to do just that!

The Ozeri scale is perfect for anybody looking for accuracy. I find that it has been amazing when figuring out ounce amounts when I am serving my homemade baby food to my son. No more guessing!

scale

This scale is so thin, it is less than half an inch in thickness and very light. It has a capacity range of 0.1 oz to 11lbs and it can be moved around easily.   Because it looks very sleek and elegant it goes well with our other stainless steel appliances as well.

My favorite thing is that it has an automatic tare button that calculates the net weight of your ingredients by subtracting the container's weight. It means you can use a bowl, tray, plate or anything else and you can still get the perfect measurement.

The scale also displays grams, ounces, pounds and kilograms. It has a large LCD screen and it automatically turns off when not in use to save battery power (batteries are included).

In general I am impressed with the Ozeri Professional Digital Kitchen Scale and I am planning on continuing to use for a long time!

Win it: Do you want to win an Ozeri Professional Digital Kitchen Scale?  Three (3)* of my lucky readers from US/CAN will take one home!  Click "Read more" to open the Rafflecopter form to enter.

Their Silver plated brass bracelets are lead-free and made with glass as well. I received a couple for review and I absolutely loved them.  They come in a very nice gift box (perfect if you are buying it as a present) and the colors are so nice!

I really like the beads and all of the little details and how they combined the colors. They have a great selection of colors and beautiful beads to pick from on their website.

I recommend you avoid getting the bracelets exposed to water.  Like with any other jewelry try to keep them clean and dry while wearing to increase their lifetime.

Zoe & Sprout: 100% Organic Clothing {Giveaway}

Screen shot 2011-07-28 at 9.53.37 PM

You know I am a fan of all things organic.  When I purchase new clothes for my son I try to pick organic and eco-friendly materials and I am starting to do the same with my own clothes.  Purchasing and supporting stores that sell organic clothing is my way to contribute and help continue sweatshop free productions.

Zoe & Sprout is an online store that sells fun designs that are high quality, affordable and environmentally friendly. I received the 100% Organic onesie and I love that it is actually made of 100% Organic cotton. Super cute design!

Screen shot 2011-07-28 at 9.53.00 PM

I love how soft the material is and the wide neck that makes putting it on easy!  After washing the material gets even softer and that's just wonderful.  I love not having to worry about the fabric changing after a couple of washes.

Screen shot 2011-07-28 at 9.51.17 PM

All of the products in their Organics line are made in India in a fair labor environment and they are all  Global Organic Textile Standard Certified.

My son loves wearing this onesie and he seems pretty comfortable moving around with it. It is also perfect for the sunny days because it is light and breathable! I recommend checking out their online store for some other super cute and funny designs.

Potty Train with Baby Signs Feature & Giveaway

Did you know that since the introduction of disposable diapers in the early 1960s the average age for potty training keeps climbing higher and higher? Today, the average age at which American children complete potty training is 36 months for girls and 38 months for boys.  Imagine how many diapers are entering our landfills. And if you are cloth diapering, think about all of the water used in washing diapers for that long.

After a lot of research I have decided to start potty training my little one early.  It is actually easier to potty train a baby under 24 months because as children get older they also want to start making their own decisions and demonstrating their independence. That new stage is all about the battle of the wills when it comes to potty training, so earlier is the way to go for us.

I have been using The Baby Signs Potty Training Program kit and we love it. It is a fun way to get started and help my little one learn to communicate and give him the freedom of letting me know when he needs to go.

The kit comes with an instructional book, a small board book designed to show and teach the signs, a full-length DVD, a train whistle and a couple of sheets of "reward stickers".  My son loves the board book because he loves seeing the signs behind the train images.  He also loves the sound of the whistle and the "Get on Board the Potty Train" song.

I am very excited to say that he has been doing the potty sign before going potty in his diaper.  I have started sitting him on his potty and we are having to change less and less wet and soiled diapers every day.  I am thrilled!   This program has been working so far and he is only 10 1/2 months!

I recommend you to try the Potty Train with Baby Signs Program if you are hoping to have your little one potty trained before the age of 2. Remember you can help the environment and your wallet plus give your little one the opportunity to communicate and build trust with you.

Win it: One lucky US reader (continental US) will win a Potty Train with Baby Signs kit! Click "Read more" below to see the Rafflecopter entry form and to enter.

The Sleep Sense Program by Dana Obleman Review & Giveaway

 Dana Obleman

For the first seven months of my son's life I was waking up twice or three times every night to nurse him back to sleep or to give him his pacifier.  The sleepless nights for several months were extremely difficult and after reading many books and trying different methods I was feeling powerless.

It was at a mommy group meeting that one of my friends suggested trying the Sleep Sense Program. She had started the program a week before with her little boy (roughly the same age as my son) and she was already seeing great results. He was sleeping in his own room and starting to sleep through the night.

Thanks to my friend's recommendation I visited Dana Obleman's website and after finding out she was in British Columbia I was lucky enough to get in touch with her directly.  Dana has been working with children and parents since 1998 and has a B.A. in Psychology and her sleep sense program has received a lot of positive testimonials.

After speaking on the phone with her I received a copy of her Sleep Sense book and a questionnaire with some questions specific to our bed time routine and situation.  We filled out the information and sent it back to her the same day. By that afternoon we received a personalized sleep plan with specific recommendations and suggestions to improve our son's sleeping.

After reading her book and personalized plan we did everything she suggested.  Even though a couple of things were a bit difficult at the beginning (like getting rid of his pacifier or waiting 5 minutes before going in the room when he started crying),  I can say 100% that it was worth it and that her plan really works.  Not only did I stop night time feedings but I also got my needed night time rest.  After 3 days of starting her program our son was already sleeping in his own room from 7:00pm until 6:00am. And what I love the most: If he woke up HE went back to sleep on his own without me going in his room.  The key was having him learn to do so.

We really can't thank Dana enough! She was extremely helpful and available to respond to all of our questions and concerns and she always responded to us in a timely manner. Very professional and friendly.

There are still a few days when he has a harder time going to bed and specially fighting his nap times but with her help and following her book's suggestions we have definitively gone a long way.  I love the freedom of having the evenings for myself after he goes to bed and to know that I can actually get a full night's sleep.

We are continuing her plan and I will recommend it to anybody that needs help with their baby's sleep habits.  If you truly follow the plan and stay strong those first couple of nights it will all be worth it at the end. Your baby will get the rest he/she needs and you will get your night's sleep.

Win it: Three (3) of my lucky readers anywhere in the world will receive a free copy of Dana's  Sleep Sense Program ($47 value each).  Click read more for the entry form.

Teething Bling Bangle Feature & Giveaway

This is not my first feature of Teething Bling. In fact we already own one of their necklaces and donut pendants and we are big fans!  I love wearing their very chic and stylish pieces that are safe for baby and o.k. for them to handle and chew on because they are practical and multifunctional at the same time.

This time I received one of their bangles to review and let me tell you that they didn't disappoint. Just like when I first wore my necklace my son was immediately attracted to the bangle and before you knew it he had it in his little hands and of course mouth.

He was playing with the bangle for half an hour with no breaks. That is a long time with my son because he usually gets bored of the same toy after a few minutes.  I was able to prepare our lunch and he was happily entertained sitting in his chair playing with it!

Their bangle is also made from a silicone that is phthalate and lead free and it is non-toxic and dishwasher safe.  Perfect for my teething boy.

Now my favorite thing about it is that I can coordinate and wear both my necklace and my bangle at the same time when I go out. They make me look fashionable and pretty and I love knowing that I have two "teething toys" available with me at all times when we are out.

Win it: Teething Bling has generously offered one of my lucky readers anywhere in the world a chance to win one of their bangles.
