I was sent a Merrill (Slate) Organic Bamboo Blankie to review by the lovely people at Baby Boomba.  I am loving all the bamboo options available in the market right now and I am happy to see that I can also get blankets and other bamboo made accessories for my baby boy.

I absolutely love that all of Baby Boomba's products are custom handmade in Canada as I am always excited to feature local products.  They also sell bamboo burp cloths, nursing covers, baby slings, baby wraps and much more.

When I received the Blankie I noticed all the little details in regards to packaging. The presentation was amazing, that's why it would make a great baby-shower or any other occasion gift.

The actual fabric is super soft because it is made from bamboo fleece. It is also made with a double layer for added warmth and weight.  My son loves anything fluffy and soft and he definitively liked his Blankie from the beginning. I used it everyday for a week (with one wash prior to use and one in the middle of the week) and I must say the colors are still vibrant and the material is as soft as when I first got it.  

He loves the pattern also :)

I went out a couple of times during the week and took the Blankie with us as his stroller cover. He has many other blankets but they are usually either too heavy or too light and I always need two. One for the wind/cold of outdoors and one for when we are in the car or indoors, since I don't want him to overheat. Well, we used the blankie for both.  Since it is made from bamboo it is super breathable and it kept my son comfortable indoors (never too hot) and outdoors (kept him warm). It is the first blanket that works for both options and I am sure I will be purchasing more bamboo blankets from now on.

At his age my son is usually trying to put everything in his mouth,  so I was comfortable when he started sucking on his blankie because it has been tested for the presence of harmful substances plus I know about the antibacterial properties of bamboo.

The Boomba blankie is now our favorite blanket and I recommend it to any parents looking for something green, eco-friendly and safe to use for their babies/kids.
