Organic & Safe Mattress Protection for Your Little One - Win a $100 Gift Card

I test many brands of cloth diapers for my little one for nap and night time use and every time a new diaper leaks his mattress gets wet.  I have a small pad I use on top of his sheets that is supposed to keep everything dry but it often moves and everything ends up being a bit wet.

Looking for a solution to the problem I found The Natural Sleep Store and their great organic mattress pads and wool moisture pads.  The Natura Cry Less Wool Moisture Pad repels water and works as a natural barrier against spills and leaks. Because it is organic it doesn't have any toxins, bleaches, dyes or off gassing, making it a very safe choice for baby.  The Natura pad is made of wool. I love wool because it is a natural flame retardant, mite resistant and it also resists moisture.

It was recommended to me to use a cotton mattress pad layered on top of the Natura wool moisture pad to ensure maximum protection.  I received the organic mattress pad by Coyuchi. This pad has a single layer of organic cotton batting that is quilted between two layers of organic cotton fabric. I really like that it absorbs a lot and it is very easy to clean (simply machine wash it and dry it).

This is how I layered them:

-First the wool moisture pad on top of the mattress

-Then I put the Organic mattress pad on top

-Finally I covered both with the bed sheets

That's all I did and I love having the extra protection! It has definitively been working for us.

Something else I have noticed is how he doesn't wake up with a wet back as he is not sweating as much. It seems like having the organic cotton pad and wool moisture pad help keep him dry and comfortable.   What's great also is that by adding the two pads you have an extra layer that is organic between the mattress and your little one. An economical solution if you can't afford to buy an organic mattress or if  you already own one that is not organic.

Win it: One very lucky reader from US/CAN will get a $100 gift card to be used at  The Natural Sleep Store  Click "Read more" below to see the Rafflecopter form and enter to win.
