Growing up I remember one of our favorite board games was Scrabble. I think it was mostly because of it being educational but also fun. I have also very good memories of playing Pictionary and Monopoly with my family. Having a family game night is important to us and Recycle It! is just the right game for our family.
My son is obviously not old enough to play Recycle It! with us yet but I know that once he is a bit older we can introduce it to him. We played the game with a couple of friends and their three year old and he loved it. It is such a wonderful idea! Not only is the game fun but it is also educational.
I love the idea of teaching very young children about recycling and helping them understand in a very easy and fun way where the different items should go. The purpose of the game is to sort the items into each of the recycling bins correctly and they have set up a pretty fun set of rules and a system to make it fun and exciting.
Something else that I really like about this game is all of the little pieces. Each one is very colorful and durable. There are so many items to sort that it was a great reminder to us as adults as to where everything should go when recycling. The actual game is also completely recyclable as there are no plastic pieces as everything is made of cardboard.
I know this is going to be a great game to use when entertaining all of the older children of our friends and it would definitively be a great addition to any modern family's game night collection!
