My son watching his First Words DVD by Monki See Monki Do

I received a baby reading kit for review from Intellectual Baby, LLC.  The Monki See Monki Do reading kit is a tool designed to help babies learn how to read.   They sent me a 5 DVD set collection, a volume of Baby's first words flash cards and a See and Say Story Book.

I am constantly researching learning tools and educational resources for my baby, so I was extremely excited to give this learning kit a try. The first time we watched the Baby's First Words DVD we had a lot of fun, he was concentrating and didn't look away once!  He loved all the puppets, the singing and the sounds. He was even laughing!  The DVDs are definitively made to get his attention and are perfect for my little one.  Baby is supposed to watch the DVD once a day, 5 times a week for about a month, before moving on to the next volume.  We are still in volume one and he is enjoying watching it everyday.

DVD Set

The DVD Set has a MemoFlix Video Flash Cards DVD with lots of words and vocabulary that can be introduced at any time. You should show your baby each category at least 20 times in order to master it.    It also comes with a Guide to Teaching Babies to Read full of tips and activities to learn how to optimize the ready program. I love all the little tips and easy advice all in one DVD.

Flash cards

The flash cards are designed to be flipped towards the baby to show the picture and the actual word on the other side. I love that the letters are big and easy to see and all the photos are full-color.  Great for play time with baby.  He laughs every time I flip the cards and read the words out loud.

Story Book

The Story Books are very simple and easy to follow and are designed to familiarize babies with language. I like how the text is separated from the graphics, making it easy for my son to focus on the words without being distracted by the graphics.  I have used the little book for bed time reading a couple of times and he loves it.

I am excited to continue the program with him and I am happy to see that the videos/flash cards and cute books make it fun for him to learn. I know how important it is for him to enjoy learning.

I would recommend this kit to anybody looking for a fun educational tool for their little one.
