I have been hearing lots about wool dryer balls as an alternative to conventional dryer sheets all over the place and I've always wanted to learn more about them. I was recently given the chance to try Happy Green Wool Dryer Balls and I couldn't say no!
Happy Green Dryer Balls are handmade by a momma in British Columbia. I love supporting local momma owned business! Her dryer balls are made of 100% natural wool and by adding two or more balls to your dryer your clothes will be softer and will have less static as well (serving the purpose of dryer sheets). The great thing about the dryer balls is that they will help save you money because they cut drying time.
I got my balls in the mail and I had them ready in the dryer waiting until laundry day. I then decided to cut my drying time by half and test the balls to see if my clothes were going to come out dry or not. After 30 minutes my clothes were almost dry! I added another 10 minutes and they came out perfectly dry. It usually takes me a full 60 minute cycle to get dry clothes.

Something else I love is that they are safe to use with cloth diapers. Because they don't have any chemicals unlike regular dryer sheets I don't have to worry about my diapers getting ruined and I can then shorten the drying time and save energy those rainy days when I can't line dry them! Isn't that awesome?
Something I would love to try in the future is the scented balls. She offers balls with essential oils (natural) scents at the moment. Vanilla, Lavender and Cinnamon can be added to your ball. The scent only lasts about a month but I would love Vanilla scented clothes for a month!
